Artist's Comments

This was taken back in May at the Cal State Bakersfield campus. We've got Southern Magnolia trees all over town, as well as the other magnolias (tulip trees) which only bloom in late winter. Surprisingly, the Southern magnolias are still blooming---they'd normally be scorched off the trees by now, but we've had some amazingly mild temperatures off and on.
(Wish the whole summer would be like that.)

Enjoy! :D
