Voice out of the wilderness

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 18, 2009, 3:28 PM

"Do not look forward to what might happen tomorrow;
the same Everlasting Father who cares for you today
will take care of you tomorrow and every day.
Either He will shield you from suffering or
He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations."

~St. Francis de Sales

Just letting ya know Da Mouselady is still alive. ;P
But omigosh, I've got a whole big wad of messages up there---I might have to delete the ones that don't absolutely have to be answered, since it would take me forever to catch up with them. I already deleted all the faves/collections alerts, not because I'm not grateful but because there were just too many of them for me to reply to. But to believe me, I appreciate them all. :thanks:

An update on what's happening in Mouselady's world, the good and the bad (and maybe even the ugly :XD: ):

The bad: they shut off the cable; I've pretty much lost the phone service, since the bill's a whopper and even with the insurance check I can't pay it (more on the check in a little bit); and the house is now going into default (which gives you one more chance to pay the late mortgage fees before they start the foreclosure process). And, I've still got a whole lot of crap to get out of the house, which is not easy since I'm battling an allergy. :sniff:

The good: my part of the insurance money came last Friday, $674.29. Wish it could have been way more than that, but thank God I was able to pay the water and the electric, plus I got a Tracfone pay-as-you go (so at least I do have a workable phone line). I paid a few other bills as well, and I'll try hard to hold on to what's left and see if I can sell some stuff to add to it.

While I'm lamenting the loss of the cable and still concerned about the house thing, I'm somewhat calmer than I was last month. I still have some pretty rough moments, but thanks to a lot of spiritual reading and prayer, I'm starting to have a little better perspective on things. Not having to worry about the water and power for the time being, or having a phone access of some kind, is helpful too.

I'm still hoping to sell the pickup and raise some money for a cheap apartment. If possible, I'd like to move to the central part or even the southwest part of town; I'm still praying and hoping this will work out somehow.

Needless to say, Father's Day is going to be pretty iffy for me, but if things work out right I'd like to visit the cemetery after Mass, and celebrate the day for Dad somehow.

I'm a long way from "feeling better", of course. I think I really will start to feel better when I'm able to move on and get situated somewhere, and hopefully get squared away again. Though I'm hoping that some sense of normalcy will finally work its way back into my life, I have to accept the fact that my life has changed...some of it for the worse, but hopefully for the better in the long run. Somehow, God willing, I'm going to come out of all this mess; and I hope I'll be a much stronger and better person for it, and that I've finally learned from the mistakes I made in the past (and believe me, there were many).

But anyway, just to let you guys know Mouselady still loves you and hasn't forgotten you, even if she can only be here in spurts. Thanks as always for your prayers and support, and hope things work out okay on your end as well.

 and :peace: ,

Hi, I read your story on TGMD and I am writing one my self. But I need to ask if I could use your character Elizabeth for my story of TDMD. I'm just going to mention her. I need a reason why Bails and Ratigan hate each other so I can have some kind of drama. If you wish to know more about my story read my Journal or ask me questions. If you say no I comptly understand and will owner your wishes.

I'm afraid I can only get online at the library now, so I won't be here much. But you're more than welcome to use Elizabeth as long as you credit me. I would like to read your story whenever it's out. Thanks for asking! :)
